While enjoying my nightly cigar I've been watching a wild west documentary.

A episode I just watched talked about Jesse James's failed robbery in I believe Minnesota.

His men were outside keeping watch. The town was full of hunters sticking up on hunting supplies.

When they figured the bank was being robbed they took the fight to the gang and was able to mostly save some lives and protect the money in the bank.

    It made me think.

Gun owners and those who carried were not stigmatized as threats as we are now a days. Which makes me wonder. If were as accepted as they were. Would we have more crazies acting as vigilantes shooting up petty thieves or would we be more so over all safer due to many more people willing to take arms against those who would step out of line?

Obviously I'm not so nieve to think if all were armed we would live in a perfectly safe utopia.

But honestly do y'all think we would be much more safe or would we have more bad shootings?
