    Almost on lake Mich
    The family will be taking a trip to MN soon, I know it's IN LTC isn't recognized once we hit MN, but should I carry the way there, IL now is ok with me keeping it in the car and WI seems cool all round.

    Once we're in MN, we'll be in a hotel, I'm safe once we get there, but for the drive I'd have to unload and lock it up when we hit the border :(


    What do fellow INGOers do? Is it worth the hassle?

    Looks like you have figured it out. You are golden until you hit the MN state line.

    I travel that area and the Dakotas for work often, I always carry. It's pretty much like Indiana, pretty safe. But crap happens everywhere and there are people who target travelers.
