Traveling to MN.. Carry or no?

The family will be taking a trip to MN soon, I know it's IN LTC isn't recognized once we hit MN, but should I carry the way there, IL now is ok with me keeping it in the car and WI seems cool all round.

Once we're in MN, we'll be in a hotel, I'm safe once we get there, but for the drive I'd have to unload and lock it up when we hit the border


What do fellow INGOers do? Is it worth the hassle?

I travel that area and the Dakotas for work often, I always carry. It's pretty much like Indiana, pretty safe. But crap happens everywhere and there are people who target travelers.
