I recently came into possession of this old percussion fire pistol. The lock has exposed spring and sear, which I have not previously encountered. The barrel is 7.5”. It is not branded with a maker’s mark that I can see, so my efforts to search out similar pieces have been largely unproductive. I want to learn more about it (and show it off a little). Does anyone here have any information, advice, or derisive comments to offer?
