My dad makes the trip a couple times a year from UCLA (Upper Corner of Lower Alabama). We cycle the shops, shoot a bit, and goof off mostly. So he asked me so spray a couple of his beaters...

Duracoat, coyote brown and matte black oxide....

He's been retired for years, but works part time at a pawn shop because he likes to piddle. He always picks up the odd and ugly. But it gives me practice!

I like the Colt better of the two, especially because it is in .32 Long.

Oooops.... Pops is headed back to Alabama this morning. Been working on this one for a minute. It is FAR from from complete. It needs another color, highlights, then a coat of matte clear. I guess since it's not quite done he'll have to leave it behind...... (hehehe)

Sumphead, nice paint job. What kind of paint is duracoat? What kind of spraygun do you use?

Thanks! Yeah, I shoot a lot of Duracoat. This was all with .3mm nozzle Iwata HP-C+ airbrush at about 20 psi.
