You must really hate 10 rd. chip McCormick Mags.

    Hahaha.

I have an LTPII for those! Limited Ten specific pistol. With a kimber 10 rounder.
But it also has an external extractor and a full length guide rod, so it's already a tool of satan.:n00b:

Also has a 460 rowland kit in it most of the time, which makes matters even worse.

    It's pretty hot though.

Funny thing about the 460, I wouldn't worry much about the frame, the slide seems to take the most abuse from it. After a few hundred rounds I had to do a slide pinch on it to take up some of the slack. Can't believe kitchen gunsmithing worked on something as easy to screw up as that.

And yea the scratches are from it loosening up. You may wonder why I feel fine abusing that pistol. It's because I hate that external extractor and the thing has never ran right without obscene parts on it, like that 460 kit. It is amazingly accurate like that though, some how or another.

This thread reminds me of another reason I like 1911s so much. There really is one for everyone that likes them. If on a budget, RIAs are great guns. If money is no object, then the sky is the limit for what you can get. I think that is one of the things that has always put me off on the Glocks. They are all pretty much the same. Sure, they come in different sizes and calibers but that's like going to a buffet that has only oatmeal. Different sized bowls of it, but it's all just oatmeal.

The variations of 1911s are amazing. From the little Sig P238/Mustang to the Para double stacks and everything in between. You can buy budget guns or works of art, but they are all children of the original 1911 design. Pretty cool stuff.

This is my version without the 460 kit. Started with a Springer field officer and used Clark, Wilson, Hogue, McCormack, Burris and other reliable pieces. I did the work in total and it runs great. The scratches are from use
Nothing against Kimber just never been drawn to them. I do like the grips on yours.

Those are from mil-tac. I think they make a better quality grip than VZ, but everything is personal preference, I have VZ slims on my daily carry. Need to get a new picture since I swapped the sights out for the mepro wedge sights. Factory rear sight is just so ugly.

I bought this for CC but it is such a sweet shooter I just use it at the range. 750 rds so far and is just starting to break in.
I like Springers. For the money I have never been let down.
