I just finished letting the wife shoot my S&W 642 and she impressed me! Out of 40rds, all but a few hit a paper plate at 7yds.

The impressive part was that the only other time in her life that she fired a gun was my Ruger 22/45 several years ago. As most of you know, the snubbie is an entirely different animal. Snubbies are IMHO, the most difficult gun there is to shoot accurately.

Needless to say, I'm a happy camper with her first experience with the snubbie. Now, on to a few Speer 135gr +P Gold Dots, to see how she handles some self defense rounds. :D

I say better not make the wife mad it could turn out bad ;)

But on a serious side, it's good getting her out there. Better than just waiting until she needs to shoot a gun. Practice is good.

Now it is time to keep moving the plate back until you find what distance you are safe at! :D

Congrats to her though on the good shooting! Keep it up :yesway:
