It's not always about aesthetics, my V-comp is cut for moon clips, has a ball detent lockup on the crane, is comped, 5in barrel, 8 shot (not exclusive to PC I know).
Trigger isn't light but is excellent.
Some PC guns have nice features.
Maybe it's my working man's hands, but the 20 LPI on the front strap of my TRP is one of my favorite features of that 1911.
No discomfort for me personally after long range sessions.
It seems to "grip back". I prefer it much more to the 25LPI on my others.
But I totally agree to what drillsgt...
I've always been impressed with the expansion of my straight wall pistol cartridges with Barnes XPB.

I keep them for my SD loads.
I have found jacketed bullets more accurate at longer range. YMMV
My hunting loads are still heavy for caliber JHP.
