Let me introduce you to Troy Corser, he was a big road racer a few years back.
This video hes racing his 1929? supercharged rigid right hand shift BMW.
He casually will reach over at 125+mph while bouncing through a hard curve and shift up or down. He is trying to catch his fellow racer and best friend.
The end of the race is the best.

    Motorcycle racers have big kahunas.

I look forward to watching The Isle of Man TT this year again. Riding it is on my bucket list.

I would suggest one start with a "Mousetrap" Rocker foot clutch assy. Some transmissions like my 2010 six speed on occasion are a bit difficult to get neutral each time before you get stopped. The Rocker will hold the clutch in when you want, to stop and stay in first gear. I've seen them adjusted to slowly engage to take off with a tap of your heel, to make things easier for some.
Your Indian would be fun with a jockey on the tank and a foot clutch.
They are a lot of extra movement/work when comparing to whats on your scooter now.

I'm in the 70's through the 80's era bikes. The monster 2 strokes were just awesome to ride.
absolutely! H2750! I have had 3 of them and it was fun to ride.. well for a few miles then my hands fell asleep from the vibrations coming thru the handle bars.. I hope to have the RD350 on the road soon.. I gave up on taking it all apart and cleaning it.. maybe this winter but in the meantime I am going to get it fired up. The new ignition switch and key came so all I am down to is finding a good stock exhaust or welding tabs onto the expansion chambers I bought for it then it would be ready ringandingdingding along.

One day Bob was cleaning and adjusting his motorcycle.
When he was finished, his wife said, "You know I worry about you when you go out on that. Maybe it's time you thought about giving up motorcycling."
Bob's face immediately twisted into something she'd never seen before.
    "What's wrong?", she said.
Bob replied, "For a minute there, you sounded just like my ex-wife!"
"You never told me you were married before!", she said.
    Bob countered, "I wasn't."
