Way nicer than I figured it would be. Wore multiple layers and had a heavy coat to fight off the cold. NO NEED. Never put the coat on.

Kept waiting for the battle between Therese and Jedi. My money was on Therese. But I guess that fight will have to wait until the South Shore ride to work.

Good to be back. Time for some left over spaghetti, I can't believe I'm this hungry.

    Anyway, I'd like to thank:
NipprDog for the Just Right Carbine 9mm. Nice. I have a 9mm carbine already. But this was nicer.
koutsevil for the Ruger Blackhawk .44. Fun to shoot, but wow, ammo is a killer $.
darkkevin and t_star for the Savage model ?? 17hmr. I may have to think about adding a 17 to my stable. If I can do better on ammo price.
gunbunnies for the mare's leg .38/.357. Fun, can't decide if I should put it on my list to buy, or not. daddymike's son was shooting it like a rifle, the short stock was just his size.
gstanley for the Colt mustang .380. I could kick myself for selling the one I used to own.

I finally remembered everything that I wanted to try out. I'll have to print the list up in the future.
It was also useful when someone wanted to know who owned a weapon, we could look it up on the list.

Looking forward to pictures. I unfortunately forgot my camera, and didn't use my cell phone camera.

    sadclown,

My buddy Rob was quite impressed with your ACR and the POF. I think he has talked himself out of a 308 for now. I'm sure you'll be seeing him in the shop.

RO said thanks for the plywood and brooms BTW.

    --SPECIAL EVENTS--
We held the rifleman's competition this month with both ironsights and scopes.

2nd Place: daddymikey's son - Won INGO cap in orange
3rd Place: UnionPDMedic - Won INGO Black Shirt

    Scopes:
First place: Opps  can't recall - Won $5 Bass Pro Card
2nd Place: Opps  - Won INGO Cap
3rd Place: "no name" KLB (he did NOT write his name on the target!) - Won INGO Black Shirt

Help me out here guys and girls. I know nipprdog took the pics. Sorry it was one of those days. :faint:

    --MY DAY--
Coming back from my first Project Appleseed training last month I continued to focus on those skills.
The results are 'ok' but not great! :xmad:
    Test 1 - 202 (Sharpshooter) Lv2
    Test 2 - 186 (Sharpshooter) Lv2
    Test 3 - 180 (Sharpshooter) Lv2
    Test 4 - 112 unqualified
    Test 5 - 106 unqualified *
    Test 6 - 188 (Sharpshooter) Lv2
    Test 7 - 190 (Sharpshooter) Lv2
    Test 8 - 172 (Sharpshooter) Lv2
    Test 9 - 186 (Sharpshooter) Lv2
    --Lunch Time--
    Test 10 - 222 (Expert Rifleman) Lv3 :woot:
    Test 11 - 194 (Sharpshooter) Lv2
    Test 12 - 198 (Sharpshooter) Lv2

Test 5 was done with my .30 carbine which shoots high and I never expect to get a good score with it as the 300 and 400 yard targets my groups are tight but either too low or too high. :faint: The rifle is out of it's range past 300 yards and I have given up trying to fix the sights on it.
200 yards and under the rifle is dead one. It is what it is with that little gun. I'm thinking it might be retired next season.

Test 6 - 12 were done after adjusting the rear sight of the 10/22 to the smaller circle and raising the front post of the 10/22 7 turns. This gave me tighter groups. Special thanks to lonehoosier for helping me with this. He is actually good for something other than cooking bacon go figure. :p

So what the end result. If I focus and slow down I CAN indeed reach level 3. Proved that at my first Appleseed event (did not get my patch as I can't follow directions ) and have proven it again last month and this month when I slow down and focus.

    --FINAL COMMENTS--
Good to see so many kids with their parents at the event. Looks like they had a blast! Plus we got 2 'public' families to check out INGO as well.

Oh sure you shoot the .30 carbine but don't mention it. :p

Yes that was us. I told Colleen that you were going to "pink" it this time!

Oh how I would love to but there is a 30 day grace period. So if she don't NOT pick it up next month then when she sees it again in MAR 2014 it will be PPPPPIIIINNNNKKKKK!!!!!

My mom was talking about making Chili for the next shoot.
I figure it'll be colder, maybe people might want some.
    I don't eat beans, so I don't eat chili.
But if you guys want, I'll tell her to make the chili next month.

Agree but M1 is heavier and ammo is $$$$$.
Next time I see you I'm gonna say "Peter's brother"

We go have propane stoves to keep the chili warm. We did do chili earlier this year I think or was it last,.
