I messed up my last intro thread & am trying again. Long time gun owner from the greater Fort Wayne area, relatively new on this board. I lurk a lot but haven't posted all that much.
The Mrs. & I come at gun ownership from slightly different angles. I grew up always knowing where the guns & ammo were stored, and was allowed to fire them at targets or game. She grew up knowing there were guns in the home, but not allowed to touch them or know what was on hand, where they were kept, etc.
It amuses me that she was upset when I bought a Walther PPX (no external safety) but she has possession of six handguns that once belonged to her grandfather, five of which have no external safety (and most are old enough that there are likely no internal safeties, either). It's just another of those things that leaves a smirk on my face and leaves her asking "Why do I still talk to you?"
