Yep. I got on my mom's side an Italian immigrant married to an American of English descent and on my Dad's side a mixed race kid raised on a reservation that married an Italian woman. I don't know if I love or hate immigrants.

Bottom line is that people are people and the sooner you stop getting hung up on what color their hide is and start listening to what they have to say the better off you'll be.

Not concerned with the color of anyone's skin, and more than a little put-off by those who are...but I think there are some potential fragmentations of our society developing. I'm not sure which will come first, the division between those that pay taxes into the federal coffers, vs. those that receive a net credit from the Treasury; or the division between those that are employed by some form of public agency (fed, state or local) and those that toil in the private sector generating GDP. The first is likely to generate significant resentment and unrest eventually, while the second leaves us in danger of becoming a country where nothing actually gets made, no value is actually generated and we spend our time moving money from our right hand to our left hand and calling it "productivity".

Although I used to get very ticked off when race came up on this forum, I have continued to read the posts of some of the people with legitimate and thought provoking questions and input. After doing so, I've come to the conclusion that color really doesn't matter and the very subject is only an attempt to divide "by any means necesessary"; to place one group above another and to uncover those who truly believe in the color agenda.

I'm just wondering how many of these people who are and will be paying into the system consider themselves to be "white" and if that matters more than being Americans, as I've read on many threads. I would say that many would consider themselves as hard-working contributors to our society. If it's only about color and I am also a hard-working contributor, I will always be lumped in with other persons of color who are never seen as being contributors.

Also, it's strange that Euro-American is acceptable, when African-American and other hyphonated descriptions are not. And, bottom line, and I would ask you to answer this question, how important is the question of race and why is it so important to be discussed as much as it is on this forum? If color really doesnt matter why all the un-equality directed toward white people?
And whose really dividing America, the people who changed the laws, in a matter which is unconstitutional, and wholly not the direction the Founders intended, the originalist?

It probably does matter. And more so than people realize.

Consider illegal Immigration, why not just defuse the situation and give amnesty, it appears to be the most logical point.

Race or problems which involve race arent just talked about on this forum, or White Americans.

I have numerous experiences where Race was shoved in my face, by minorities.

At a subway shop(inside Walmart on 71st/keystone), a black women got furious, because she thought she was being treated unfairly by the latino server, who was toasting HER food, and while she waited making my sub.

Another women at BroadRipple park was freaking out because "Dem white children be playin by demselves be fo they play with other people (Races)."

And another time, cutting my grass in inner city Indpls, I was approached by afew black males; being busy I had no time to deal with them. I immidiately had multiple accusations of "jus because we different *Points to arm/skin*, you wont listen to me."

Sorry, you aren't white and neither am I (I'm mostly German and Irish). But when I go to the multicultural center, I'm not multicultural enough for them. That is what this book is debunking, that race is a worthless concept. The "facts" that I am using are found in that book. It used to be, in America, you weren't white unless you were an Anglo-Saxon or Danish person. Race is bologna, and completely worthless. There is one race, the human race, and sadly, you don't get special treatment unless you are really not white. Rubs me the wrong way. I always wanted to start an Euro-American Student group on campus, but never got the nerve to. There is an African-American (some members have ancestors who have lived in America longer than my ancestors), and Asian American, why not European American? That is also why I put "Human" down on every census, because I am a mutt of all things European. I wouldn't be "white" back in 1870, why should I be "white" now?
