Just got the "we never talk anymore" from the wife. I don't really see this as a bad thing. I think she has been watching to much Dr. Phil!! How about you other INGO'ers have you had this yet?

lol. "i dont really see this as a bad thing"

well, either would i. men and women are different animals. and especially depending on how long you have been married, what is it she still wants to know??

i mean, i have desire to really know why she had a bad day. so why is it she wants to know why i had a bad day?

and its not like i really need to talk to her just to learn more about her. i know her pretty well at this point. the dating is over. marriage is different than dating that is for sure.

Every few months or so. From my perspective, we spend a LOT of time together. From her's we don't communicate enough. The whole Mars and Venus thing, I guess. I make it a point to ****-chat more when we are together (dinner, running errands, whatever), and she is happier. I remind her I need my "garage time", and then I'm happier. Just passed 16 years married, and 20+ together, so we're doing alright!

I've gotten that, too. My response was; after your nap, exercise class, cake decorating class, time on Facebook, time playing computer games, time reading, dinner, taking care of your flowers, and your time watching TV before bed, any time to talk is gone. How would you like me to fix that dear?

Oh yeah, mine never shuts up.
Doesn't matter if I have any part in the "conversation" or not...........she just rattles.
How lucky can a guy be?

I was rubbing my wife's leg and thigh last night and she claimed she was having a menopausal hot flash. I think I was just getting her hot and bothered.
I think she forgot what it was like to be turned on. :):

I used to give my wife an orgasm to keep her content for a while when I was in a good argument on here, it doesn't work anymore. Now she needs to cuddle. I tell her it's too damn HOT to cuddle!

Let me translate "We never talk anymore" for you.

She really means "You are not listening." She is not looking for YOU to "talk".

Trust me on this...The next time you get that try to start rattling off about your favorite gun and what kind of grips you are going to get for it, or maybe tell her the off color joke you heard at work that day. Start talking about doomsday scenarios and what your plan of attack is against the hordes that will surely follow. Only then will you realize she really doesn't want to talk WITH you. She wants to talk AT you.

She wants you to listen with rapt attention to a very interesting story concerning a woman she works with that is a real pain in the rear. You need to face her and look at her when she is telling this story. At appropriate times say things like, "No kidding...Are you serious?...Wow...Man...She sounds like a real so and so...I can't understand how you can even talk to her after she did that..."

She will love you for it. It's not easy but give it a try.:D
