I carried a G26 for over a year. Discovered that I did not like it. It was uncomfortable to shoot, had an unnatural firing angle (had to cock my wrist to bring it on target), and inaccurate. I went to a Taurus 24/7. Much better fit for me, very accurate.

Glocks are good, but the 26 did not work for me. May try a 19 sometime.

I've stated from the beginning that Glocks are solid guns. I just think there are a certain breed of Glock owners that are solidified *********s. The kind of guys that always want to be in a pissing contest! Not all Glock owners. Just the ones who think their poo don't stink!

Well if you don't mean all Glock owners, then why the hell did you ask the question of all Glock owners? How should we know why others Glocks owners are asshats?

I don't believe I've seen an "in your face" post in this thread about Glocks being the best. I've seen a few, including mine why some of us prefer Gloclks and I've seen other posts in favor of other firearms. :dunno:

Not yet but this thread has the feeling of one that could get to that point pretty easy.

The best thing about INGO is that most on here are much more respectfull than anyother forum I read.

I know a few forums were a post like the OP's would have caused the server to fail bc of the Glock guys calling him all sorts or terrible names.

I assumed the title of the thread would imply Glock owners would know someone like I stated. I figured being a Glock fan, you would have to know one of these extremist Glock owners, if you weren't yourself.

I am as courteous as can be, didn't you see I took the time to capitalize every G in Glock?

I currently have a Sig P229, Glock 27, & Ruger SR40 C. All three haves their positives and negatives. I do like the Glocks to include the prices (compared to Sig). I miss my 1911 though.

As long as posters in this thread respect the choice that Glock owners on this forum have made and not try to pigeon hole them as "90's rapper wannabees" then I don't anticipate a problem. I respect anyone's choice in what they choose to purchase with their own money and with my choice I choose a Glock at this time.

I have affirmed your thoughts since my OP. I threw in the 90's rappers because of some idiots I personally know, it was not intended for anyone that it didn't apply to. If it pertained to them, I am sure they would get offended.

That being said, Glocks are great carry guns!

Also, I am a HUGE fan of James Yeager. I don't always agree with the things he says, but he is not afraid to say them. He gets a +2 from me for that; standing up for out 1st and 2nd Amendment Rights!

a simple search of the forum would have resulted in 92,818,741,982 hits on similar conversations. I don't even own a Glock anymore and I was drawn in to the flame.

Did Fenway or esrice put you up to this?

    :yesway:

Me too. My G19 is my current EDC.

I took no offense to his rapper comment, I see where he is coming from though as I know a few people who want Glocks or bought Glocks bc that is what P-Diddy or Tupac or whoever carried,

All I'm saying is for some of us that own Glocks for legit reasons other than "rappers making them mainstream" bristle just a bit whenever that stereotype comes into play.

    Including ....

.... some ported, lapped, and polished "Perfected 1911" pieces, plus the original J. M. Browning model, the G-gun is out-selling every hand-gun in the world, by 100-to-one in some cases. Even the trusty 1911 (I own 6 variants) falls to 2d place behind Gaston's iteration of a .45ACP pistol, including Gov't and LEO contracts. Does selling 7,000,000 guns make them good? I dunno; some guys must think so. Then again, Chevy has probably sold a lot more Corvairs, Deuces, and Vegas than Corvettes. Buy what you like, and like what you buy. Don't try to impress INGUN guys 'n gals.

What do you call a stage-full of rappers at a concert?

    A target-rich environment. (IBTL)<===equals "purple"

Besides, Hoodie Boyz can mount their sights on the side so they can shoot gangsta style. Can you do that with a 1911?

Have any of the Glock nuts ever even shot any other pistols?

I've shot plenty of M&P pistols in 9mm and .45, and they were very nice guns. The grips were nice, they were easy to shoot, and did the job just fine. I'm sure I'd be fine with an XD too.

People ask questions like "what's the best polymer pistol" or "what should I choose between X, Y, and Z?" Any major-brand polymer pistol will probably do just fine, so it's up to their personal preference.

If they really need to ask strangers on the internet to make a decision, I'd tell them to get a Glock, probably a 19 or 26. If they can grip their gun like a man, they probably can't go wrong with either of those. They're ubiquitous, plenty of factory and aftermarket parts and accessories available, and if they had to, they could sell it for a decent price.

Yeah when I first saw that my eyes started rolling around in my head and I thought that was about the stupidest thing I ever laid my eyes on.
