Explain to me why the thread was moved, and the title edited!

The OP was about Bradis II, which is NOT a gun shop, if you think different, try buying a gun there, can't be done. Bradis I on the other hand is a gun shop and this thread is not about that gun shop.

Yes I read the sticky, and it says "gun shop" which Bradis II is not.

    You picked on the favorite.

I also understand that it is not my forum or a democracy, and I accept that.
Look at the quote below my statement here. Has already been explained

Just a point of SOP here-- but when I was a Mod it was our policy to not allow any "-1 Gun Shop" or "+1 Gun Shop" titles in this subforum. The title had to simply have the gun store's name listed. If this practice wasn't followed by the thread-starter, we would correct the title.

So you would notice such a change with ANY "-1 Gun Shop" thread, not just the one you referenced.

Here is the rule for you that keep score: https://www.indianagunowners.com/fo...s-forum-rules-please-read-before-posting.html

The name Bradis 2 is an implication that it is an extention of Bradis one which IS a gunshop.

It may be implied, but it would have to be included in the FFL to be a gunshop since it is an unattached building, and thus has a separate mailing address.
Naming the business XXX II may be good marketing, but it is a stand alone building, and does not sell guns.

Even the people I have had conversations with that work there, indicated that Bradis II has it's own management, separate from Bradis I.

Which employee at B2 did you deal with?.

I don't know about the OP but from my own experience the middle aged white guy with short dark hair , former Army , approximately 5' 10" , thin build , can be a bit of a jerk .

Because of proximity to me I'll try B1 first but if that side doesn't have what I'm after , I drive across town rather than going into B2 .

Huh, I always assumed it was the same ownership and general establishment.

Not specific to this thread, but I have lately been rethinking my stance on giving business to gunshops with "no loaded firearms" signs. As I CC 90% of the time I basically ignored the signs, though I would certainly leave if told to do so. Now I've been frequenting establishments with such signage less and less and spending more time and money in places without such signs. I'm not 100% on it yet, and doubt I ever will be, but I've reduced my business in such places by 90% now, even when on occasion it costs me a little more. For me, living way in the sticks, it has more to do with wanting to hit as many shops as possible when I do venture up to the big city and the shops I go to first are the 2A friendly ones and if I haven't spent my money by the time I have gone to all those and I have time left I might go to the places with signage.

This is The Internet - where one may act with impunity thanks to thinly veiled anonymity!

Man, I wish that we're true! I stick out like a sore thumb when I go in there. I've not had any trouble in either of the Bradis' shops, but then again...I tend to not wear my ego on my sleeve, and my firearm is never in view.

If I'm asked to leave, so be it - their shop their rules.

FTR, there are a couple employees who spend the majority of their time at B2, and a couple who work either location as needed. Lisa, my boss, is the manager for the entire company, but spends most of her time at B2 and is responsible for day-to-day operations on that side of the house, where I am responsible for day-to-day operations at B1.

I'm gonna have to get back up to Bradis' again soon.
Sounds like there'll be a lot of elbow room and some great deals with all this hater talk going on, eh?

I'm torn on this issue too. I bought a rifle from Bradis a few weeks back. I ignored the sign and just CC'd. The experience was very pleasant overall and I feel like I got a good deal.

I also frequent ITP quite a bit, and generally CC there too. But I am starting to become more of an OC advocate and would like to think the LGSs in town would feel the same way. Their store, their rules, but I know there are other places more supportive of OC where I can spend my money too.

This is honestly ridiculous. I will never go to a gun shop that says I can't carry. Maybe they should go into the coffee business.

 OMG!!! That right there is funny. And poignant too.

I think just as much as the ridiculousness of a gun store banning loaded guns (WTF) is the fact that the sales clerk (boss maybe) wasn't just telling the OP that he had to unload, but he was a total douchebag about it. Me thinks someone could stand to brush up on their people skills for say about the next 6 months or so? Did his mother teach him those manners? I doubt it.

I can't imagine that any store owner that TRULY WANTS to sell his product to as many people as possible would put up with that kind of customer service.

I have been in Bradis' place a time or two and was impressed with the selection and the knowledge of the staff. Not so much with the prices though. But with customer service of this caliber I'll be spending my $$ elsewhere because they obviously don't care if they sell many guns.

just to be clear, I haven't gone through the whole thread.

Now, I have been to many many gun shops with "no loaded weapon" signs, but I've never seen any enforcing it.

I think the sign is there just to please the insurance company and their attorneys.

I've never been to Bradis, BGF is my new favorite joint in town.
