. You are asking why it matters who is slaughtering innocents?

Gettin all Hillary about it , " At this point Mr. counselor , what difference does it make ? " .

It's not like there's gonna be anything meaningful done about it .

There's no military option and obummer isn't gonna play hard ball with economic sanctions .

Putin's economic adviser ( Sergei something or other) said that Russia could avoid sanctions by using other currencies which as it happens they ( BRIC ) are working on a way to dump the dollar anyway .

While it would seem that the Russians and proxies are the most likely culprits as the information filters in, at the time that the official position was reached, it was even odds that whatever they guessed was going to be right.

    Exactly.

The regime change was inevitable, with or without the US/EU. He's attempting to use the Zimmerman/Martin argument to trash the US.
US/EU supported Ukrainian protesters should never have gotten out of the pickup truck that the US/EU supplied to them for transport to regime change.

"Just days after the tragic crash of a Malaysian Airlines flight over eastern Ukraine, Western politicians and media joined together to gain the maximum propaganda value from the disaster. It had to be Russia; it had to be Putin, they said. President Obama held a press conference to claim – even before an investigation – that it was pro-Russian rebels in the region who were responsible. His ambassador to the UN, Samantha Power, did the same at the UN Security Council – just one day after the crash!"

From his article, since nobody here seems to have read it.

Then you clearly didn't grasp the point of it.

I don't want my government to jump to politically expedient conclusions and push them out to us as propaganda before a real investigation takes place. That was Ron's point in this article, and I agree with him. End of story, for me.

I expect the United States to know what happened before the plane hit the ground.

If our intelligence agencies have to wait on an international investigation to know what happened I think Snowden must have been full of ****. It may be possible that the idiots running the government are in a better position to know what happened sooner than Ron Paul.

RP can jump to his own counter conclusions and push them out before a real investigation takes place while chastising others for doing the same That's my point. End of story, for me.

Just stop. Nobody around here cares what he was really trying to say. The INGOPublicans hate Ron Paul so much that he could have said "the sky is blue somewhere in the world" and they'd all harp that somewhere in the world the sky is gray, therefore Ron Paul is an idiot.

They don't want to actually read and grasp what he said. They want to hate on Ron Paul because he's Ron Paul.

No. It has nothing to do with who said it. It just happens to be someone with a history almost as rife with gaffes as Biden, which makes it all the more ridiculous. Paul's point might have been valid Friday or even Saturday before the mountain of evidence came to light pointing to the separatists and Russians. As it is, almost a week after the event, he sounds like he's doing nothing more than taking the opportunity to blame America. IOW, same old ****, different day.

No "direct" link. But, I'm willing to bet that the Ukrainians were right about the launcher heading for the Russian border and that it's probably in Russia now.

I know. I was laughing as I read it because it all but said that without Russian assistance, it wouldn't/couldn't have happened.

Ironically, this particular gem caught my eye:
that Russia "created the conditions" for the downing by arming the separatists.
Where have we heard that before?

Maybe Mr. Paul would like to explain the other aircraft they previously shot down and claimed credit for?
