I am not brand exclusive but some brands stand out in certain uses. When I wanted a 1911, I bought several in different brands but always felt like I was missing something until I got my Colt 70 Series. Now I feel I have a 1911. When I decided I wanted a 10mm, after doing some reading I got a Glock 20 (only Glock I currently own). I read that it was considered the best model for shooting the full power loads. But I am still wondering if I need the S&W model 1076.

    Could be anywhere
I'm more caliber loyal than brand.

That's the only issue with diversity...keeping it all fed (or potentially fed if you're prepping). I've currently got about a dozen different calibers to keep on hand so I'm trying not to add another just because...doesn't mean I won't if I find something interesting.

But to the original question...what would be fun about that? :dunno: Now if it's for work that's another matter I suppose but even so I'd be more likely to standardize on caliber than platform.

I like to buy weapons with interesting stories, there are a too many manufacturers out there to be a fanboy for just one. It would be sort of like saying I'll only drink Miller brewed beers. Unless you're really limited by money or supplier why would you do that. It's sort of like the 'why buy more than one' question in another thread.

I guess I would have to say I'm a bit partial to Rossi. In my experience, they're reliable and cost effective. I like the simplicity in most of their firearms and will probably purchase more from them in the future.

I'm not brand loyal when it comes to firearms. If I had to be, FN Herstal would probably be the company I'd choose. They're the only company I can think of that makes rifles, pistols and shotguns that are all high quality, accurate and reliable.

There are several brands I WON'T buy.

I've learned to just say NO to Glocks!

No way man, I just like guns. Remingtons, Springfields, Glocks, Kimbers, funny Russian companies with scarecrow parts for letters, whatever. The more the merrier.

    Don't let fashion dictate.

I own and like several brands, but for the money, versatility (G21 on a Mech Tech for example), simplicity, parts availability, and reliability I know of no other brand that beats a Glock. IMHO

OK most people aren't brand exclusive. Throwing a curve ball then- if you HAD to go brand exclusive, what would it be??
If you mean one brand period, rifle, shotgun and pistol... Dang that would be tough... Probably Browning... They make good shotguns and rifles. Pistols, I could get by with a HP and Buckmark.

I really need to take a look at the BP9CC. I used to be really into Bersa's but have since passed just about all of them to other family members. They are good guns and I've lost count of the number of .380 Thunders I've bought and passed on to family looking for their first gun. Even my last Bersa owned, which is a .380 CC, is in my son's hands now. The BP9CC could fill the gap I have currently in a thin, concealable 9mm BU gun.
If you want to get your hands on one Tim you know how to find me.. I may be around Parabellum sometime this weekend if you want to give it a test run.. I'll warn you, if you shoot it you may very well feel like you need one. :)

I have defensive handguns and hunting handguns. The same goes for shotguns and rifles The defensive handguns are all the same brand. I don't want to pick up one for carry and have different controls or feel to deal with.

Same goes for my shotguns. It don't matter what one I pick up the controls are all in the same place and they all feel about the same. I don't have to think about where the safety is because it is the same on all of them.

That is the biggest reason I try and keep to one brand as much as I can. I have other guns that are because I always just wanted one or sum such thing, but they are not carry or hunting guns and are just range toys.

I am a Glock and Kahr pistol fan. If neither of these Brands turn me on, then I don't need it. I find the older I become the less I get turned on.

Besides, I'd rather be known as an owner of many guns but a master of one. Life is good. :>)
