Oh FFS. Shall we start a thread every time Kroger charges $1.89 for eggs when they are $1.39 at Aldi? It's a free country; shop where you want. These Gander-bashing threads and the accompanying indignation get tiresome.

IIRC, something along the lines of within (x) miles from the Gander, in stock at the time of price match. Ordering, on-line sales don't count.

Or, you could just buy it when you see it at the LGS, and don't bother with GM. Saves you time and gas, supports the LGS, and helps GM along the path to its inevitable end.

It's not really meant to bash Gander. Good on Gander Mountain for capitalizing in the turbulent market. It's just questionable practice, and 20% over MSRP is screwing the customer.

We got a good deal on my wife's SP101 at GM, and I've purchased lots of other things from them. But when you look at the large scale, like Wal-Mart, volume has it's rewards. But always remember, pigs get fat, hogs get slaughtered.....

There used to be deals to be had a Gander Mountain. I bought a used Weatherby Mark V in 257 Weatherby for $399 7-8 years ago. They had it listed as a Vanguard Synthetic.
