    Introduction to Prepping and Awareness
    Feb. 22, 1pm-2pm
Has the rough winter this year put you in a bind without food, water, electricity, transportation, or any other of life's usual conveniences? Have you found yourself wondering about how you could handle unpredictable situations? Have you been curious to learn more about prepping but find yourself turned off from it due to dramatized television programs like "Doomsday Preppers?" Then join is for a discussion on the importance of disaster preparedness and learn about the real thing rather than some spin of it from Hollywood. We'll briefly discuss how simple changes in your planning or lifestyle can go a long way to being able to handle life's serious and unpredictable challenges. We'll also be discussing the reality of it vs. the dramatized version and why that impression can be a very dangerous one to have of prepping.

    Introduction to Grid Down Tools
    March 6, 6:30pm-7:30pm
Have you wondered what you would do if the power went out for an extended period of time? How would you provide heat for warmth and cooking? How would you make necessary repairs without modern conveniences, such as cutting firewood? Truth be told, everything will require some sort of tools; tools that not many people are familiar with or even own in today's world. So what sort of tools might you need? How do you use them? How do you maintain them? Join us for a discussion on tools which can be used virtually anywhere or anytime regardless of any modern conveniences.

    Long Term Food Storage
    March 22, 1pm-3pm
Have you wondered how to keep food for long periods of time without having to worry about it spoiling? Have you wondered which foods can store for long periods of time? Then join us for a discussion on long term food storage. We will be discussing various foods and how to prepare, package, and store them for long term use.

    Fire, Water, and Improvised Stoves
    April 3, 6:30pm-7:30pm
We're combining two of our most attended classes into one and adding a little to it. Join us for a discussion on fire building, water purification, and some discussion on improvised stoves.

    Introduction to Bags
April 19, 1pm-4pm (with breaks and opportunities for "show and tell")
The recent severe weather that's been spread across the country has left people stranded on interstates for hours, if not days. Would you be prepared to deal with this comfortably? How would you be able to get home if you couldn't rely on your transportation? How can you have the items you need to deal with unpredictable situations with you when you need them most? Join us for a discussion on bags; bag philosophy, strategy, planning, storage, etc. Let us help you think of things to make your life easier when you need it most.

Trying to call Indiana Self Defense today, the only number I could find was 534-0571. That number gives a recording saying it's no longer in service. Anyone know what gives? I drove by the other day, but it wasn't during their hours. Looking in the window, they look like they're still in business. Perhaps there's a new number buried in this thread somewhere......

I'd love to see them open back up. I rode the bike up there a few times a couple years ago for some great learning seminars.
