    What: CZ75D PCR
Why: I love SA/DA decockers, Kadet 2 .22 LR adapter compatibility, CTC LaserGrips compatibility, CZ's just seem to fit my hand.

I've already got the Kadet 2, spare mag's, and holster from High Noon. Pistol gets out of Bud's layaway jail next paycheck. Then to decide what sights to install on both... Then Cagunization, then... ?

I've been thinking about this for a while and am still not sure what will be next. Looking for something fun to shoot, not too small or light, but no cannons or boat anchors either. Something I can cast and reload easily for. Since 22LR is a PITA I need a plinking replacement. I've got most things covered. Thinking about a Sig P230.

Sad to say but another Glock. Between "Blue Label" pricing and going bang every time, Glock is going to get my money.

The Glock 19 is the "shotgun" of pistols. Some internal parts are interchangeable with other Glocks. The magazines can be used across a variety of weapon platforms. An after market that over whelms the competition.

-GP100 4" because I have no wheel guns and decided against the S&W post lock guns.

-G19 because I need a low maintenance carry piece that is a breeze to order and install PM parts for, because its going to get a s**t load of rounds put through it, as I will be attending a few classes this summer/fall.

-LCR38 because Im leaning towards this as a support side, bug.

My next is a Taurus 24/7 Generation 2 in 9mm.

It is coming free as a warranty replacement for my 24/7 Pro DS.

A brand new weapon to replace one over fifteen years of age. Respect for Taurus!

Not necessarily for me... but the next handgun purchase will be a G26 for my wife. She liked my G27 too much so to be kind to her I'll get her a G26 since it has less recoil.

    Ruger Alaskan.

    View attachment 39458

I go to Alaska every couple years and visit family there, perfect to carry when we are out hiking. Just wish that I had not sold my 4" Colt Anaconda years ago....

A college buddy of mine was stationed on Kodiak Island for several years with the Coast Guard. He carried a S&W 686 .357 as a "woods gun". And, as he told me, so did the majority of other people. I don't know if he also carried his shotgun with him or not - but if a bunch of people on KODIAK only carried a .357 - then there may not be a real pressing need for something larger. I'd for sure load it with the heaviest hard-cast / monolithic bullets I could, though, that's for sure.

Ruger MkIII. I'm waiting on the paperwork to clear on a .22 can, and then I'll need something to mount it on! I don't want to thread the MkIIs I already have...

Have you looked into a PacLite upper for your Mk II? Of course, with the price & transfer involved in one of those you can be very near the price of a whole new gun, but it IS an option to keep you from threading what you don't want threaded. My stainless 6" bull barrel for my Mk II has hardly seen the light of day in about 7 years since I got a PacLite.

T/C Contender Stainlesss in 35 Rem or an XP-100 in 35 Rem. I want one for deer hunting since 35 Rem is legal for handguns. Then I can use the rounds that I don't have to cut down to 1.8 inches to use in the Marlin 336.

Hows your revolver collection? When i hear "casting" and "not too light/small" i immediately think revolver.
If you already have a couple 38/357 wheelguns, how about 327 fed mag?

I wasn't aware of them, looks promising... thanks.

Have a GP100 3" WC edition and a S&W 625 Performance Center along with a few J frames. They are nice to shoot but not really quiet plinking guns. The wife and I used to enjoy taking the M&P 22s out and shooting for a few hours. I've got some saved up but like to maintain a certain level of inventory for all my ammo and components. We would usually shoot more 22 than is easily replaceable at the moment. Until I can walk into the store on any given day and replace the 1K+ rounds we fired on a whim then the 22's are used sparingly.

I was thinking something along the lines of a mid size .380. The Sig 230, an older Taurus PT58, Beretta or Browning, maybe even a Glock 42. I have no desire for the ultra compact guns, they are not fun to shoot. I'd even load for a .32 if there was a gun that fit the bill. Both calibers use very little powder and small amounts of lead.

I'm going through the same thought process for rifles as well. We have a handful of ARs in the house and an old Russian SKS. With the cost of 7.62x39 ammo being so cheap but the brass being so high it's, hard to justify the startup cost for the SKS. I really don't want to cast for the ARs and all the trouble that entails. I may go with a lever or bolt action, possibly an M1 carbine for that road.

If you can locate a Match Champion, IMO it is worth the cost difference over a standard 4" GP100. The factory trigger is indistinguishable from my gunsmith slicked Ruger, the sights are nicer, and arguably the grip is better. The half lug and chamfered cylinder are nice, as well.

On the LCR, I elected to get the .357 version. It's a fuzz heavier, but it lets you run your primary's ammo in your backup if you are carrying the GP100 and the LCR. It's also not bad to shoot recoil wise with 125gr .357s, although 158 grain full house .357s are still a bit much for my tastes.

I'm not sure what the next one will be. I have an itch for the Glock 43, but might go with the Shield in .40 instead if I get something like that. A CZ 75 in stainless has been on my short list for a while too, as has a Colt SAA or decent clone. If Glock puts out a single stack .40, I might bite. Sometimes you don't know what it is that you've always wanted until you see it in the gun case.

I don't have first hand experience with one but have always thought a Beretta 82 or 81 would be nice. I certainly like my 84s

That happened to me recently with a sig nightmare

I almost hate to post this but I'm looking at a High Point 9mm. I want a hand gun that if it gets handled rough I won't feel upset. It is also easier for the wife to shoot with wrists that hurt all the time.
