We didn't see squat this morning other than a coyote who made a last minute change in direction which saved his life. We jumped a really nice 10 walking to the stand this evening, saw a button and his sister wandering around and three more does came out into the field.
30 minutes before dark a little six came walking by. His mouth was hanging open and he went by us, down the field edge, across the creek and started running a doe in the next field over. 20 minutes later here comes four people with flashlights (trespassing) tracking it. Turns out a lady had shot it with a crossbow and it was (supposed to be) her first buck. We told them it didn't look fatally hit and they went back toward their own land. We came back and watched the footage we took and she hit it really low. I took a couple still pics and sent them to the guy so he wouldn't be worried about wasting a buck. Another one lives to see another day around here.
Sounds like the neighbors around your land are poor shots. Hopefully for you they keep scaring the deer back to you.
Definitely agree with this. Bolt pass through? That buck will certainly live to die another day. Bucks are interested where I'm at. Set out your estrus pee and have at it boys. Good luck to all.

Both bucks were shot with crossbows and both got pass throughs.
They're definitely chasing/following here in west central IN. Saw a nice buck follow two does just after daylight. Had another two does come in behind us only to be run out by a small six. We just had the ten that was shot the other night come through, pick up the scent of the last two does and follow it out of our area. Man I was the weather was more cooperative, they'd be running all over everywhere. Unfortunately they'll be looking to nap in the shade before long.
We blew 5 deer out of their beds on our way on this morning, never saw them but the beds were evident once it got light. Sat for a couple of hours but were underdressed for the wind. Climbed down, got some breakfast and got to a different stand around 11:30. We've already had a decent 9 and little bigger 8 come through. They're definitely cruising mid day now. The cold front seems to have gotten them up and moving finally.
