After Michelle Obama’s graduation speech at the predominantly black Tuskegee University, TV show host Alfonso Rachel, who is also black, had to speak up. He used his internet talk show to slam Michelle in a video. Here’s an excerpt of what he said:

“If knowledge is power and you are graduating with the power of knowledge, then how are you going to tolerate this agitator coming in to convince you that you’re a victim, despite the power you’re graduating with?

You are the first freaking lady of the United States and you’re still a spoiled butt-hurt victim, whining about unfairness.

You’re not interested in representing the United States. You’re not interested in representing ALL the people. Your interest is in representing the black community. And as the first lady, you have represented us as bitter and spoiled."

No. Not even with Hillary's d*** and with Michelle Obama pushing.

And a White person doesn't know what it's like to be poor? Actually, by world standards, he's probably correct, but it has everything to do with that White person being an American, and nothing to do with his color... and the same can be said of a Black American, an Asian American, an ANYTHING American. The guideline I heard many years ago was that if you had money in the bank, money in your pocket, and a dish or a jar with some coins in it somewhere around the house, you are among the top 8% of the world's wealthy. Simply put, when the "homeless" are sleeping in cars... they own cars! When the poorest person waiting in line somewhere has a cell phone, clothes on his back, etc., he is not, by world standards, "poor".

Now... by American standards, that is, compared with his countrymen, this is another story entirely. Saving up over a few paychecks to be able to buy batteries should qualify.

What I want to know is why anyone sits still to be lectured by this millionaire on how awful this country is that allows people to actually amass money in the bank, if they have their necessities taken care of.

I am white (off white...more peachish) and I don't know what it's like to be poor (other than the early 20s when everyone should be poor) or to live in a ghetto. I don't really credit my whiteness for that.

My Mom and Dad have more to do with that than anything. Of course I have black friends and extended family who don't know what it's like to be poor or live in a ghetto...and I imagine that they would credit their Mom and Dad as well.

It seems like Bernie is equating non-white with being poor and living in a ghetto. We have an overused word for that attitude which might actually apply to him.
