How many Americans have been attacked by these refugee hoodlums? You spout this as though rape and murder is not a problem that already exists in this country. I also was not aware that insubordination and taking a stand for what you believe in was un-American. That seems to be directly oposite of the founding of this country.

So I am wondering when we had to open our borders to just anyone.
    When did that happen.
Yates was not a hero by any measure. Her actions were totally self serving.

Have you actually read the EO on this issue.

So then, you`re saying that in light of the sexual assaults in Germany, and because rapes already occur, then, it`s not a concern if we allow potential sexual predators into the U.S.? Seriously?

Are we importing the German refugees here or something?

Point conceded on the first part. But to believe that Turkey is not a major supporter of terrorism is sticking your head in the sand.
Did I say that Turkey was not a major supporter of terrorism, or that they were not currently a threat to our national security?

    So tedious...

The implication being, that how Germany handles it's refugees is the exact same way the United States will handle refugees. Which is obviously false, as Germany was essentially taking anyone who showed up at their door.

Yes, I especially liked that part that exempted minority religions from this EO. Oh, you said you're Christian, my fault man come on in. You dirty Muslim though, you stay out.

I think the only implication was that among the refugees, there are some criminal a-holes....but, whatever

Please link that part. I did not get that from what was read on Garrison yesterday and my perusing it.
This is not a religious based thing.
Of course, your mind is made up so thats OK with me. Opinions are just that. Mine included.

Yet another fanciful reading of the EO in order to ridiucule- truth need not apply.

So, an 23 year old Radical Muslim ISIS supporter from Turkey or Saudi Arabia, trained in Turkey or with the Iranian Republican Guard is free to waltz right in here (actually not do to Obama's restructuring of the Visa and Passport vetting system) but a 23 year old Muslim from Syria seeking asylum because he is gay is returned to his country where he faces the death penalty if caught. Might as well name that planes the MS St. Louis.

    How is it fanciful?
    (b) Upon the resumption of USRAP admissions, the Secretary of State, in consultation with the Secretary of Homeland Security, is further directed to make changes, to the extent permitted by law, to prioritize refugee claims made by individuals on the basis of religious-based persecution, provided that the religion of the individual is a minority religion in the individual's country of nationality. Where necessary and appropriate, the Secretaries of State and Homeland Security shall recommend legislation to the President that would assist with such prioritization.

We're trying to prevent a massive increase in these crimes here. And the evidence that it would happen is Europe.

Lets say you determined an order was unconstitutional when you were in. What do you think the repercussions would have been for insubordination based upon your opinion? You'd better be pretty persuasive if JAG has already approved the order.

translation: you can't claim refugee status for religious persecution if your religion is practiced by 90% of the population of your country

I was only following orders is not an argument that works. At the risk of being that guy, it didn't work for Nazi soldiers, and it didn't work for US soldiers in Vietnam. And lets look at Abu ghraib. Military Intelligence and JAG reviewed the processes and let them proceed. I agree, there are repercussions for your actions. But those come with due process. Those come with a trial and a review of the situation. Not from a megalomaniac that is mad that you didn't blindly follow his word.
