I think I've found my muffler shop, Meads Performance Mufflers in Bethany of all places. You can definitely hear the banjos outside the shop!:rockwoot: The GF's daughter suggested him and after doing a little searching found his book of faces page and it showed some of his work. I stopped by and talked to him and he had an old beater truck up on the rack, all I can say is that if he puts that much effort into mine I'll be pleased with the results. He's about talked me into stainless Magnaflows and is trying to talk me into an "H" pipe instead of an "X" pipe. I get what he's saying about usable torque and horsepower gains of one over the other and what I'm doing with the car but I want the X to help mellow the tone out more than the horsepower and torque increases.

Got the taillights working this evening so it's time to temporarily hang the rear bumper, get it insured and get the exhaust under it!!:yesway:

Got home early from racing tonight. Dragster made two passes this time. Driver was much better. Unfortunately he went over the 150mph limit and they kicked him off the track because he doesn't have a license.... Oh well, car is performing really well.

We have been escorted to the exit a number of times......9.90 legal car ran 9.60 and we were met at the trailer.......
Biscayne was 12.0 legal and it went 11.70 on a wed. night street car test and tune. Met on the return road...

Got beat 1st round at TerreHaute and did the buy back. I screwed the pooch staging and knew I was beat so I cut the car loose (1/8th mile) and ran 6.09 on a 6.40 legal car. I was nose up on the trailer when they came to the pits.

It was a much faster but hey.

Glad the driver has a handle on it. Now he gets to jump through some hoops.

    Are you keeping that intake.....????
Yes sir. These cast iron Poncho intakes actually flow really well. This is one of the better ones, came off the 400. This is a low buck budget build, using as many parts as I have laying around. The actual money will be spent on redoing the heads, head studs, main studs and forged rods. And yes, I will be running a Quadrajet. ;)

Properly built/tuned a "Q"-jet is hard to beat. Seriously. Look under the hood of some of the stock class index racers and you will see "Q" jets.

I would as well but I got this 9" for NADA so I will be doing some welding/fabricating very soon.

I need to get up off my butt and get after this.
I thought about rebuilding the 10 bolt, but really like the idea of having a couple different center sections depending on what type of driving I'm planning on.

Here is a nice 3 peddle 2nd gen Camaro I saw today in Goshen.

It is a split bumper car. I like the clean look with no badges on the car.
