To me an "I will take it" means you are OK with the posted price.
Those who state I will take iyt or PM sent outside the PM system (that is what it is here for) are just levering their position. Not all but some.

I'm all for negation, but that's not how it's done. Hope you're slapping hands on those who would deceive the rest watching to pass on an add when it wasn't really an "I'll take it."

Saying "I'll take it," and then offering a lower price is essentially an implicit lie. They should say (in a PM), "I want it," or "I'll take it if you accept my counter offer."
It could also be that the people who said they'd take it were geographically challenged.

I typically wont haggle here. And if i do the haggling is much less than say armslist. Simply because this is a community not a marketplace. I assume the asking price is set here. Armslist it seems prices are generally hiked 100-150 up from what its worth. So harsh haggling ensues
For the right price I would drive from Northwest Indiana to where ever in the state.
It's likely that it is sold, but people tend to get in line in case a deal falls through, someone does try and haggle, etc.
Some folks don't mark it as sold (or SPF) and close the thread until cash is exchanged.

Yeah, I guess some don't really mean "I'll take it" when they write (publicly, I might add), "I'll take it".
