Hmm. When did "I'll take it," turn into "I'll take it at my price, not yours?"

I'm all for negation, but that's not how it's done. Hope you're slapping hands on those who would deceive the rest watching to pass on an add when it wasn't really an "I'll take it."

I posted "I'll take it" when the ad was 18 minutes old. When my post generated on the thread, there was another "i'll take it" logged. The Seller contacted me this morning via pm, I sent him a pm shortly thereafter with my phone number, but have not heard back. Amazingly enough, I cannot control what other people do with their sales

Just to shed light on this particular sale and the desired, afore mentioned "hand slapping"

Perhaps you should ask the OP...... Just a thought. Enjoy your day.

    Because they lowballed him.
To me an "I will take it" means you are OK with the posted price.

Those who state I will take iyt or PM sent outside the PM system (that is what it is here for) are just levering their position. Not all but some.

    "PM's"............Use them

No I did not low ball him. I posted the first I'll take it in the thread for the listed price. I also tried to PM him and sent him an e-mail. His PM box was initially full, but he did clear it out and PM me back this morning. I replied and asked for his cell number and when and where he wanted to meet. I then see where he posted an hour later it is still for sale? Communication has not been great. I did later get his cell number and texted to verify our meeting tonight. He then said someone is now in front of me. I am not sure if the deal is going to work out or not, but please do not assume someone was trying to lowball him.

    And the plot thickens...

Thanks, I'm having a great day. Shot a couple squirrels in the backyard. Squirrel and noodles in the crock pot now.

The assumption was on me but is usually the case. Apology's. I get PM's all the time bemoaning this. It is a reflex action.
I do get double irritated at members that say OK and set up a meet only to get an offer from a friend or someone close to them (no travel) and then blow you off.
Yes, your merchandise and your call but please use the honor system. You know, my word is my bond. Some folks love the game playing. It is not cool. Not cool at all.

Same goes for the ones that stand up the seller with no contact after the seller makes the trip to meet up. I get PM's about that as well. Not cool either.

It would seem the seller is playing the game.

I posted the first "I'll take it and tried all day to arrange a time and place to meet. I agreed to his suggested meeting place and he just texted me the gun is sold and thanked me for my interest?? No big deal, he can sell to whomever he wants. Just kind of weird.

And yet, the thread is not closed, nor is the handgun marked SPF

Just to clarify, I posted my "I'll take it at asking price" AFTER I saw he posted it was still available.
I wasn't sure what the deal was with others that posted I'll take it. Didn't know if logistics were at play or lower offers than his asking price, or a combination of both.
Anyway, I sent him contact info and never heard from him, so I assumed he went through with someone ahead of me. For me I felt is was a long shot, but you don't know if you don't try.

There are plenty of deals to be had right now all over the place. What does irk me a little, I was eyeing something else waiting too see if I would hear from the seller. Now the other gun is sold as well.
I never started any communication with the other seller, because like others on here, I am a man of my word and did not want to have to pay for two guns.
