Good info. I’ll definitely remember that if we find more!Yes puffball. We slice them like bread and fry them in seasoned butter. Yum. We also slice them thinner and dry them for use in soups. Pretty much all puffballs are safe to eat except the ones with small spikes on the outside. But you have to get them while they are still white inside.
