Got the yard all trimmed, grass all at a consistent height, and cut down the neighbors 15 foot blue spruce. I hope she isn't mad when she notices.

She came out while I was mowing, and asked if I would like to cut it down.
That lead to her asking if I would be interested in tearing out her concrete front porch and rebuilding it with wood.
I need to draw up an estimate for her.
Then the MIL messaged the Mrs. and wants me to do a number of things for her by tomorrow.

What is it with the temp getting over 70*? Everyone calls wanting stuff done, at the same time.

    Hello DD.
Yeah, the porch is covered, so the roof needs lifted and shored.
As long as it doesn't come down on me, all will be good. Probably
a week or two worth of work in my spare time.

I have a BFH for that.
It seems to be a bit crumbly, hence her wanting to replace it.
    Be my luck, it's a solid 3 feet thick.:ugh:
Nextdoor neighbor tore out a big concrete parking pad to build a 3 car garage last year. He had a bobcat to tear it up, but still had to bust up the big chunks with a sledge hammer. It took him 2 or 3 weeks.

If there's a rental place near by, they usually have the attachment.
That would be much faster, and easier. An hour or two with one of those would've made that pad into gravel.
Well, I was using the term "bobcat" generically. "Skid steer" would've been more accurate. Not sure what brand it was. Just had a front loader bucket on it.

... and paid for the rental itself with no (very little) sweat equity.
