Does anyone here grow their own sprouts?

Easy to do and a great idea. I don't know about other places but I highly recommend Mountain Rose Herbs. Here's an article, and here's a how to: video

Anyone else have anti gun parents?

Parents are pro-gun. In-laws, that's a different story... Creates some exciting family discussions though. My oldest daughter, 8, went with me to Gander Mtn. the other day and I started teaching her all about guns. I quiz her with my wife around ;).

      Used gym equipment

I've got a buddy who's trying to sell his home gym. We work out together at another workout place and he just doesn't need his anymore. If it's available I'll try to get some pics and a price to send you.

      Strawberries are in season!

We have eaten more strawberries than I care to think about. I took my family down south this weekend and we picked strawberries - well most of us. My youngest ended up eating about half the ones we gave her. There were still plenty to go around!

      First Pistol

Just bought my first pistol - Ruger SR9. Smoother trigger than I expected and an all around nice gun! Seeing more guns in my future. Now I just need more ammo!

      Walther PPX 9mm

That's almost exactly where I'm at right now. Finally looking at getting a pistol so I'm hoping to go check them both out tomorrow. For the price they both seem to fit the bill. I've only read good things about the trigger on the PPX, and the reviews on the Ruger seem to be really good too.

      Walther PPX 9mm

I've been looking at it too and I'm wondering how it compares to the Ruger SR9. Anyone have any comparisons there?

      Lefty question

Right now I'm leaning toward the PPX for everything I've seen about the trigger and the price. As much as I would love trying, buying, and selling a bunch of options I just can't (not if I want to keep peace at home ;)). Anyone have any experience with how the grip feels on the PPX?

      I thought more guns=less crime?

I read or heard a "statistic" (on Sean Hannity?) shortly after all of the gun control craze hit Congress that was something along the lines of gun related crime being down 39% in the last 10 years even though more and more people are purchasing. To be fair - I can't find that stat and the...

      Any Walther PPQ Owners Here?

Don't mean to hijack the thread but... Has anyone done a comparison between the PPX and the PPQ? Are there other major differences besides price and shape?

Trigger comparisons - PPX vs. M&P vs. XD

Any thoughts on the triggers (unmodified) for these 3 pistols? I'm a lefty looking at purchasing my first 9mm. For that matter, if you've got any thoughts other comparisons between those 3 I'll take those too. Thanks!

      just a thought

That's an interesting thought. There's no lifetime CPR/lifesaving certification though :) I have been certified and uncertified at different times (due to time limitations). Another consideration would be legal issues. If I remember correctly you have certain obligations if you are...

      doing my finger prints tomorrow

Didn't do L1... Applied 1/6 and received today, 5/29. Bad news - it took a long time. Good news - it's done.

      Lifetime Permit Wait...90 days now.

I just got mine today and I applied on 1/6/13. You've gotta wonder if there is a more efficient way to do it.
