      FEG Browning Hi-Power

Ditto on that. It wasn't exactly a tack-driver but was reasonably accurate and mine never had any kind of failure in at least 500 rounds. Depending on your model the sights might be tricky to replace though if they are an issue.

      Federal .22lr issues

One odd problem that I have consistent across several pistols is that Federal .22lr will end up ejecting a round but leaving the chamber empty after firing, with rounds left in the magazine. This happens with all varieties of Federal (Walmart 550s, blue 500 bricks, American Eagle bricks...

      Magazine spring bent?

I bought a used EAA Tanfoglio Witness magazine (9mm, large frame), and while cleaning it I noticed that the top of the spring was bent at a weird angle. Have any of you ever seen this before? http://i60.tinypic.com/2mhim2p.jpg EDIT: If I insert the spring with the bent side towards the base...

      CZ 97b's are in stock

There's a bunch of CZ 75 SA's on the low 500s on Gunbroker as well, I was wondering what led to a bunch of CZs surfacing lately. CZ-USA 75 B SA 9mm w/ 2 - 16 rd Mags *NEW* : Semi Auto Pistols at GunBroker.com

Thanks everyone! Might actually need to move back for a few years in a year or two, so will definitely have a bunch of questions then.

      What matters most?

For a carry gun function is tops by a fair margin. For a range toy though I'd prioritize feel and accuracy, provided it doesn't malf more than once per hundred or so rounds (in which case it better look really nice). Edit: if I think about it, it's really the rare piece you run into that just...

      New toy finally came in...

I believe (since I share the same viewpoint) that he meant that while most striker-fired feel "okay" enough some just definitely feel a lot worse than others. Kinda hard to really comment on the differences between the "okay" ones.

      M1 Carbine for Home Defense

Back when my really old M1 was my only semi rifle I went with that as my HD as well, but with the 15 round mags (I don't trust the 30s) and the fact that it was a fairly expensive rifle that might be taken away if ever actually used, I ended up switching to a shotgun. If I had to go back to a...

Review: The Ruger LC9s- The Successor!

2nd on wanting to hear about the recoil; I've been debating on selling my G42 and getting an LC9s. Have you tried shooting it with one hand and are you using it with the pinky extension?

      Slide to frame fit?

Hey all, I guess I'll make this my first post. Two general questions (any comments welcome): 1. How important is slide to frame fit? To add some detail, my W. German P226 ('93) has some rattle to it, while my W. German P228 ('94) has absolutely no play to it whatsoever. My other Sigs have some...
