YouTube shutting down gun channels :-(

Sites like reddit and facebook banning gun sales doesn't really bother me so much. There's a variety of state and federal laws to follow and those sites are not equipped to monitor that. The last thing either site wants is for there to be news that a gun sold on the site was used in a crime...

YouTube shutting down gun channels :-(

Also for those with a firestick, you can download Amazon's silk browser and watch videos on the full30.com. However, its the actual site, and not as tv friendly as an app. I tried the firefox app and you can get to videos, but it didn't actually play them.

YouTube shutting down gun channels :-(

FCC chairman Pai did allude to this in his Net Neutrality speech. However, if we have no right to regulate that ISPs can't discriminate against internet traffic, Can we expect to have the right to regulate what Youtube does or does not allow on its site? Best bet is to start a youtube...

YouTube shutting down gun channels :-(

A lot of Vet Ranch Videos get demonetized unless they edit/blur the surgeries and "not family friendly" stuff. They've started to do two videos, one edited one unedited and you have the link to get to it. The link for it is in the description. If it wasn't for Off The Ranch, I doubt Matt would...

FCC Releases Plan to End Net Neutrality!!

ISPs were granted a forbearance for over 700 title II laws. It is possible for another administration to take the forbearance away. FCC Tried several times to add net neutrality to title I. it was challenged in court repeatedly, and the FCC lost. The best option available, was title II.

FCC Releases Plan to End Net Neutrality!!

https://www.maxcdn.com/blog/2015-net-neutrality-ruling/ Open internet rules didnt affect the peering agreements. While they could cause net neutrality issues, the agreement itslef isnt a net neutrality violation. Mostly these agreements were taken as network management and therefore are...

FCC Releases Plan to End Net Neutrality!!

The graphic talks about cell phone service and was improperly cited as how Portugal's internet works. Net neutrality is about internet data being treated the same no matter the source. Zero Net talks about content providers and ISPs coming up with deals that so the Content providers site...

FCC Releases Plan to End Net Neutrality!!

Twitter, facebook, Google, ect, are content providers. They can be held responsible for what is on their sites either through legal action or actions by the users staying or leaving the site and to the advertisers. ISPs are not held responsible for what passes over their wires. ISPs have very...

FCC Releases Plan to End Net Neutrality!!

Prior to the current Title II rules, ISPs had been caught throttling the speed to competing services. The FCC and FTC had fined ISPs over this and deals were made to prevent further issues. Some ISPs that had been caught, still created issues. The FCC tried to come up with net neutrality laws...

FCC Releases Plan to End Net Neutrality!!

Seems to be there had to be some technological advances in order to get where we are in terms of cell phones. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_mobile_phones ATT had an early cell phone service in the 40s. However, the unit weighed 80 lbs and the system needed an operator. to quote the...

FCC Releases Plan to End Net Neutrality!!

Most of that did happen before the Title II rule change. However, the reason for the Title II rule change is because the FCC at the time was having an impossible time keeping Net Neutrality open under Title I rules. They would come up with a rule it would get challenged in court, the courts...

FCC Releases Plan to End Net Neutrality!!

I've tried to put some thought into this to see if I believe that setting up a package like this would work for the consumer and help keep content providers innovative. I don't see it helping with either. We would have to add a couple more categories say one for shopping and one for news and...

FCC Releases Plan to End Net Neutrality!!

If i start a company and contract with cn railroad to bring x amount of freight a month to me at x amount price, using cn rails and trains, does cn get to complain to company b about how much it costs to get the freight to me or does they need to come to me to renegotiate terms? Netflix has...

FCC Releases Plan to End Net Neutrality!!

Net Neutrality doesn't have anything to do with pricing or infrastructure upgrades. Its the idea that all traffic is treated the same. My neighbors Netflix binging goes down the pipe at the same speed as my forum usage. If enough people are doing high usage things such as watching netflix, it...

FCC Releases Plan to End Net Neutrality!!

Bit torrents are not illegal. Can you use them to illegally download files? Yes. Can you use them to legally download files? yes. In fact, they got their start from scientists needing a way to send files back and forth. If I'm making a movie with someone on the other side of the country and...
