Okay, felt recoil has a number of factors influencing it, including force, momentum, work (force times distance), the weight of the gun, the weight of the bullet, the "power" of the charge, and so on.
Basically, lighter guns with heavier bullets and higher charges have more felt recoil...other things equal! Other things are never equal, however. A semi-auto will have less felt recoil, and a gas operated semi-auto even less. Recoil pads, grips sizes and materials all affect felt recoil.
