I was looking for a few books to read and learn from. I am new to this so I would also like them to be small enough to go into a BOB.
What I think would be good to add to the bag would be a SAS type book, edible plants of indiana, and some type of medical first aid book.
Any suggestions...

I was wondering what you guys would pick for a folder that could be abused and take the beating like a champ.
Something that could go in a bug out bag and last the longest without much TLC.
This will not try and take the place of a good fixed blade but be used in addition too.

I purchased a vise, some bar stock, some files, and a hack-saw. I have no idea what kind of steel it is... got it from home depot. It was cheap so it probably won't be any good. But it is a start!
I plan on getting a belt...
I was wondering if anyone did or knows someone who does custom knife engraving.

Has anyone done this in an XDM and if so what is a good place to get the parts?
Thanks!
