Favorite .22lr Ammo for competition use

There is a growing long range precision .22 matches that have come from the PRS world. Plus the rimfire divisions of Steel Challenge. I'm sure there are more out there I don't know about. Which Id be happy to learn :)

      Trail boss in muzzleloader

If the gun was not meant for smokeless powder, do NOT use smokeless powder in it. Thats how rifles get destroyed and hands get re-arranged.

I want to shoot 1 mile

Ill add the Accurate Shooter forums to his list as well. Lots of very intelligent guys on there who shoot a lot of long range. Good Luck. If you intend to shoot a .308 to a mile and hit anything with even remote accuracy or predictability, you will need it. Hope you have a big check book too :)

Could you dq folks at every match for trigger calls ?

"should" doesn't mean must. I used to flick my safety on all the time when I'd go to move a long distance. Still do once in awhile and it always confuses me haha. As for fingers in the trigger, as said, if you are 100% sure it was there then its a DQ. If im uncertain of it, Ill let it go but...

      USPSA rulebook discussion

"Start position: Body may be oriented as the shooter deems necessary, but toes must touch marks with hands relaxed at sides." Would fit the bill, but seems pretty dumb to have to say all that, lol

News report on how dogs react during a burglary.

For me, a dog is a great early warning system. Someone breaks in when I'm asleep, I want that extra 10 seconds to clear the fog, figure out what's going on and get prepared. If I'm not home, I'd hope the barking would scare any potential uninvited guest away. My Golden has a habit of barking at...

Can we get a DNR clarification?

You will probably want to dremel off the serial numbers too. They could trace them back and find out how the rifle was originally made...

Fort Wayne USPSA, CLASSIFIER match, 4/17

      turkey: shotgun or crossbow

Ill be using my compound again this year. Got a couple good chances last year but couldn't seal the deal. Its def more of a challenge with a bow, but I like it.

DNR clarifies rifles allowed-and it's great!

Then you'll be breaking the law as you can only shoot a .243" or .308" diameter bullet. A .284" bullet is a no-go. Ill agree on the 2nd part tho...
