Thanks for the reply. Which ankle holster are you using? Seems like the ankle glove is the most celebrated, but surely there are other comfortable/reliable options out there.
mrortega - it did fit nicely in the G26 ankle glove when I tried it. Noticed Disantis makes an ankle holster called the "Die Hard" with an option for the XD-s with great reviews as well.
Those boxes you posted brought back a great memory from my childhood. I always loved looking in my grandpa's closet where he kept his guns/ammo. He had several of those yellow and red boxes. If I remember right, they had a small plastic container inside that held the ammo. Thanks for...
I've often wondered why Indy didn't have a RK! One of my favorite stores. Now if we could just get one on the N side...but, we are supposed to be getting a Cabela's next year, so I guess I won't complain.
Before I bought my Range Officer Compact, the SR1911 CMD was the other pistol I was strongly considering. If this lightweight had been available then, I might have leaned toward the Ruger! I do like that the ROC is overall "smaller", and works well for concealed carry.
bjenkins, I have really enjoyed mine. I should probably mention that I don't have a ton of experience with other 1911's, but have shot a few, and this one is perfect for me. In fact, the only thing I don't care for is the built in gun lock on the back of the grip. I think that was an...
I have nothing to add to the op, but that response made me laugh out loud. And since throwing stars are still illegal in IN, she won't be able to practice with them much. Better keep all the Glocks! Look at that...I had something to add after all!
Anyone using a Springfield XD-S as an ankle carry option? I'm interested in going to this set up, and just wondered if anyone might have some feedback on the matter. Thanks!
Noblesville. I've been using my friends ankle holster the last couple of days (think I mentioned that before - it's feels familiar as I type it, but I've slept since then, sooooo....) anyway, I think that's the ticket for me. Looking at an XD-S .45. Gonna need to find the best way to carry a...
Recently picked up a Springfield Range Officer Compact, and would like to hear from others who have experience with this particular gun as to what ammo you like, and have found that the gun likes! Any information would be greatly appreciated!
Warthog - going to have to do some research on constitutional carry. Had not even heard that was on the table! Would be awesome, though, and hopefully it would mean reciprocity would be positively affected as well!
Haha...not that brave yet. And, I don't want to deal with all the gun-o-phobia that's out there. Do you open carry as a regular thing? What has the reaction been if so?
KellyinAvon, that's what I'm banking on, for sure! I'm trying out a friends Glock 26 and ankle holster set up this weekend, and loving it. The Cloak Tuck is a nice piece, but I'm one hug away from being busted :D
The Ruger MK3 is all that I've had experience with, but with a bucket of low dollar rounds (Remington Gold, I believe), I had great success, and it's a lot of fun to shoot. If I were currently in the market, that's the gun I'd go for.
Well, the title's partially true. I've lived in IN before, but just recently moved back. Love this state! Love the firearms laws here. I recently got my lifetime carry license, and am enjoying carrying my Springfield Range Officer Compact with the help of an Alien Gear Cloak Tuck 2.0. Just...
