The MKII Government Target has the 6 7/8” heavy bbl and adjustable sights. They came with a test target. My problem is my eyes have gotten so bad I can’t see the sights anymore. I have a scope on the Competition Model.
When I had my Kadet kit was right after they were introduced and were a bit...
I have a MKII Government Target and a MKII Competition Target with rings and scope. They both are amazing shooters. I had a 10” MKII Target but sold it a couple years ago. The MKII is my favorite of all the MKs.
I’d love to have a Kadet or Kadet kit for one of my CZs. I had one years ago but it...
Very nice! I have one on a Series 70 frame as well as a complete ACE. They’re nice but don’t shoot as well as the 41s or MKII Rugers. The Sig P220-22 is also a great shooter. I love the Colts still.
I have a Russian CM2 IZ 148 that looks a lot like that. Bought it at the 1500 some years ago and it’s sat in the safe ever since. Came with different sights, a cleaning kit and rod and some other stuff in a big box. Seems like a nice rifle I’ve just never shot it yet. Need to get it out and look...
This is Jake and Abby when Jake was about 2 and Abby was less than a year old. Jake was my bestest buddy and he followed me everywhere and loved to be outside and play ball. Unfortunately he crossed the rainbow bridge suddenly almost two years ago and left a hole in my heart. He died in Jodi’s...
The easiest thing would be to get a different scope. You can measure the distance between the rings and make sure the scope you choose fits between them and still gives proper eye relief.
The other option is to see if there are any offset rings available for your rifle. If not from Ruger check...
I had an older gentleman looking for a holster for a 38 Snubby once and when I asked him what model he had he quickly pulled if from his pocket and had it pointed right at my gut before I grabbed it and twisted it out of his hand. He said “why’d you do that for, it ain’t loaded?!” I opened the...
Obviously the final decision is up to you but if I was in your position I’d move it on down the road and get something I could use and enjoy while not worrying about it going south. Ammo isn’t as cheap as it once was and if the SHTF might be harder to find. 5.56, 308 and 30-06 are my main rifle...
I was thinking the same thing! And then Kelly Mcgillis….
Anywayyyy…. I carry everywhere and luckily I’ve never come close to needing it. I try to be as cautious and vigilant as I can be.
Glad it worked out well for you….
