      My 206 yard doe kill

Spaniel, these are pretty good BCs for a heavy .45 cal bullet pushing 2800-2900 fps. I agree, centerfire rifles are extremely accurate, weigh less, most have less recoil than my smokeless ML. I dont shoot my ML off hand, absolutely weighs too much for a steady shot, so I use my shooting stick or...

looking for a coyote hunting partner

Hi, my name is Dustin. I live in Muncie. I have recently bought a Foxpro Wildfire 2 and havent used it yet. I am having a little trouble finding some property to hunt on. I thought it would be a little easier since everyone says they are a nuisance and doesnt want them around. If anyone is...

      My 206 yard doe kill

6.5X.284? Can you tell INGO more about this? At what kind of ranges are you taking deer? My gun zeroed where it is now has a maximum point blank range of 300 yds. That means you can put the crosshairs on the deer where you want the bullet to hit at any target 300 yds and under. Its super...

      My 206 yard doe kill

I load 73 grain IMR 4198 loose powder down the muzzle, then load my 275 gr Parker Ballistic Extreme down the muzzle. Then i put the cut down 6.5x284 brass with my primer that is seated in it in the chamber and close my bolt. The case with primer is against a Knight breech plug and nipple which...

      My 206 yard doe kill

I believe I have it 1" high at 100 yds....It is a super flat shooter. I was messing around with a ballistics trajectory calculator the other day and If i have this rifle 3" high at 100 yds, its zero is 256 yds with a maximum point blank range of 296 yds....that is the furthest it will shoot...

      My 206 yard doe kill

actually, i think the smokeless has more recoil, but my gun is heavier than a normal ML do to the real wood stock and heavy bull barrel, so i dont notice it as much. And a 1" decelerator pad works great!

      My 206 yard doe kill

73 grains smokeless powder would compare to 150 grains black powder i guess, havent shot 150 gr black powder in years though so I cant be a reliable source when asked that question

      My 206 yard doe kill

I suggest you get one. If you saw a ballistic chart of my rifle, you would be very impressed! I will take this over a HPR anyday!

      IWI Tavor thoughts

I am looking to get an OD green tavor here in the near future. Did you know they have a 9mm conversion barrel as well? It would make a great CQW in both calibers
