So, I took advantage of the nice weather to rake my front lawn finally. The two years I've been at this address I've OC in the summer when doing yard work but today, according to the responding officers, Kruse was the last name of one, a neighbor called about it.
The short of it is that Kruse...
I read about this on a certain LEO blog and it has me wondering. If someone is sitting in a bar, doing nothing illegal, is not a parolee, etc. And LEO comes in and asks for IDs, are they required by law to give it to them?
Is their being in a bar, where law enforcement thinks it is necessary...
I'm getting the itch to SBR my AK or perhaps an AR in the future. What are the odds of getting a CLEO in Lake County? I live in Hammond and at least two police officers did not know that the Indiana LTCH allows open carry so I'm not real positive on the current CLEO here to be good on NFA stuff...
Got mad at the garage door opener being unreliable so punched it. OOps! Cut my hand open just above the knuckles so figured I might need stiches. Of course I was carrying, this time concealed but stitches didnt require I remove my cover garment. Then I found out I was getting a tetanus shot and...
Hot Air Video: The greatest political ad ever?
As you can see in the comments at that post we are having an argument about whether or not the politician in the ad had bad trigger discipline.
What do you guys and gals think?
I need to get a temporary plate soon and I can't remember if carrying at the license branch is disallowed by it being city property or something like that.
Yeah for needless complexity in law regarding important rights
Several years ago I had purchased two firearms from a friend and her husband at the time when they needed money. The price was a steal and I said I would sell them back whenever they wanted them.
Since then, she has divorced and remarried. Now she wants them back but I have reason to believe...
When I manually rack the slide the slide stop makes slight contact with each edge of the takedown hole. Is this something I should be worried about? I haven't had any problems when firing the gun.
Walking home from Walgreens and I felt a thwack on my arm. I look over, thinking something had skipped off the road and I see paint. Unfortunately it was too late to see what car it came from. grrr!
I still called in it so they would have a heads up that they may get more calls from the area...
The first time I had any contact with a Hammond Police officer on the street it went pretty well.

This time not so much.
I'm standing outside Walgreens trying...
From what I can determine the city of Hammond doesn't allow firearms on city property or parks. Are the bike trails in Hammond city property? I'm thinking the answer is some are some are not and it isn't easy to determine which. Also, what about Munster? I haven't found any ordinances about...
I think it went quite well though I could nitpick.
I was taking my usual route walking to Burger King in Hammond. I was dressed in shorts and a tucked in collared shirt with my Warthog in a Galco M7X Matrix on my right side. Unfortunately I dont have my comptac double mag carrier just yet to...
Nice to be able to chat with other Indiana gunowners.
My fiance will add to our numbers when she moves up her from Kentucky next year. She really likes the idea of a lifetime permit.
I was just thinking, what if you're going to meet people someplace that you haven't been to yet so you don't know their policy for OC. Would calling ahead be a good idea?
Then there is the issue of what if some people that will be in the group either don't already know you carry or you're not...
