Say your on a college campus, forced to comply to the rules of a university,or want to keep a BOB at your work or office. You can't have a gun, ammo, or a Rambo knife, so what do you put in it? Say I want my son to have a BOB that's dorm friendly. What do you guys think? What should it include...
I can't explain why but I feel that during an TEOTWAWKI event the cities will become chaotic death traps and probably not the best place to be .
In my case I live inside 465 near a bunch of borderline KKK types on one side , and a section 8 type projects also near by .
So I feel that I'm...
there has been some talk on and off about putting your money where your mouth is and seeing if you have what it takes to survive with only your bug out bag. well thats exactly what this thread is for getting a suitable time and place to see if you really properly prepared or are up a creek. my...
I'm selling my 1992 Range Rover Classic. When the SHTF (**** Hits The Fan), this is the ultimate BOV (Bug Out Vehicle) to haul your BOB's (Bug Out Bags) OTMADHTH (Off To Mommy And Daddy's House To Hide).
This beast has tons of potential! You can mount a bunch of gun racks, maybe mount a few...
Sorry if this has already been posted in the past, but I couldn't find it.
It was a great read, written by a great man. I quoted a small portion, you can read the rest at this link:
Lone Star MVPA - ('05 Hurricane Katrina Experience)
I'm not worried about zombies or the end of the world, but I do want to be prepared to survive as long as possible if the power and utilities are off.
Right now, I have an inventory list of everything on a spreadsheet. I will be putting all my food, water filtering, fire equip, and wool...
Has anyone considered the old M37 for a bug out vehicle? They are reliable, tough, 4WD, able to run under water (with military intake and exhaust extensions) and have a lot of utility. I've always thought one of these would make a great vehicle to have in the next couple of years.
Enjoy the pictures! Ran across this while traveling today in Indy. I'd have fun with this!

So the S has H the F... Now AR's and AK's, and nice HD shotguns are GREAT, but say you want to arm 6 or 7 other comrades or you dont have the hundreds of dollars to spend? I know I dont have 7 AR's..:xmad: Further yet say you want a weapons cache, stow away some guns out somewhere that need to...
My cousin and I ( shockabookoo on the forum ) decided to go hiking // camping in Morgan Monroe state park. We each had 40lb packs and hiked the "Three Lakes Trail" which is a total of 10 miles.
It kicked our butts, my BOB is definitely getting reconfigured.
Does anyone know if it's now legal...
Recently been reviewing by "bug out" gear and what I keep in my trunk. Just curious as to what all is standard trunk junk and gear for my fellow ingo members. I'll post my list once I'm outta this dang lecture.

So I've started a list of stuff for BOB. I'm just wondering what some of you have added to the standard list of things to have. Also have you packed more than the recommended 72hrs worth of stuff?
Have a wife and two kids. I"m worried about over doing it. Also do any of you that have kids...
I know some of you have them(lets see em!). For me currently I have just the GMC 1500 4x4.But I found this, how cool(literally)would that be?
1981 Ford F800 - $4,800 on Trucker.com
The thing even has an office lol.
this is a new(to me) story by halffast, the who wrote lights out. this is only a short story though. IMO though it is WAY more realistic as far as what probably would happen as opposed to lights out. I didn't want to link to the other forum that the story was originally posted on so I copied it...
Many of us have lots of guns and ammo....What happens to the guns and ammo you have to leave behind. What if you can't leave with your car or truck. Lots of people have been stockpiling ammo for the fear of not being to get any more at some point in time....so, how do you carry it all?
I don't...
That sounds a little silly but it's a good start. If you ever get truly stuck or need to hoof it to your home or shelter or whatever, a backpack, or fanny pack, even empty gives you something to carry items in which you might scavenge along the way. While walking along you might find a hunk of...
