      Stock checkering. Who can do it?

      I purchased a wood stock to replace the plastic one on my Marlin. The new stock is plain hardwood without any checkering. Is there anyone in the Indy area that does this kind of work? I like the look way more than a plain stock, and like the added grip also. Any books or tutorials on doing this...

      8mm Mauser or Mosin-Nagant

      I've got a hankering to put a synthetic stock on an old (read inexpensive) military rifle. I have an 8mm Mauser VZ24 and enjoy shooting it. I also see great feedback on the Mosin. If I were to put a synthetic stock with and integrated scope mount on a gun, which one would you recommend?

      Has anybody used any of the many online brokers to buy stock? I was wanting to buy only few shares, and didn't want to be tied to a monthly fee. Any help or opinions in this matter are appreciated. Chris
