Well I have the itch to build another 10/22, I am going to try to do it on a budget this time and not dump a ton of money into it.

    Here is the inspiration:

Now this other picture was of a 10/22 that was built by a member of rimfirecentral.com, I think he did an awesome job! So I give him all the credit and must say I really like the overall build.

I am planning on stripping and RIT dying the OEM stock-Black!
    Keeping the stock barrel
    Adding the UTG quad rail-
    Adding Magpul MBUS sights-
Adding internal goodies and a red dot-

I think overall it will be a nice looking "tactical" plinker-
Good for the range or when squirrel season arrives!
    Cheap and fun to shoot!

Sounds like a worthwhile project. I get those itches more often than I have the scratch for. There are at least 5 different 10/22 projects on my wish list. Keep us posted on your progress.

I hear ya, This is at the top of my 10/22 wish list. I'll have $450 in the base kit, $400 in donor rifles, and another $150 changing what doesn't suit me. $1000 for a .22 seems a bit excessive but OH WELL!

Seen those, that would an awesome piece to any collection!
But like you said, it will cost you a pretty penny when completed!

    Awesome! :rockwoot:

I would really like to mod the kit to fit a pair of mini 14s. Don't know what would be involved or if it is even possible or not.
