    I tend to think with that many on the market, there will always be a bunch for sale. It may not have anything to do with quality.

    well lets hope you are right.

    the problen i had was the action worked like crap it was ruff and hard to cycle untill i did a few alterations on it {after market parts}

    the better 22 i got is a henry golden boy.sorry again for the rant maybe people are like me, i would trade any gun i have just to trade lol

    Doesn't the golden boy cost around $400? The 10/22 around $200? You can get a lot of up grades to the 10/22 for $200 or buy a SIG 522 for the same $400 like I did.

    To each his own.

    I love the 10-22 and the marlin, in a pinch i would sell my 10-22 cause i can get another so easy. They are also fun to tinker with and you can sell it make one totally different.

    Just saying!

    North Dakota soon...
    I would say the reason you see so many for sale, is it's probably the best selling 22 in history.

    The Marlin 60 has twice as more sales than the Ruger 10/22. The Marlin 60 is four years older design wise than the Ruger 10/22. :dunno: The Marlin is arguably more accurate and much nicer out of the box than a Ruger. Cheaper too.
