Has anyone seen any 10/22 youth models in Central IN? Shorter wooden stock, no barrel band, 16 1/8" barrel.

Gander Mountain seemed to always have them in stock, but I haven't seen any since last December's panic.

    Thanks.

Ask for the "Compact" model ... that's what Ruger is calling the rifle you described.

If you can't find the "Compact", you can always cut the stock down on a regular sized 10/22 to fit a smaller framed person. You can also look for a smaller stock on eBay or the INGO classifieds.

Here's a link to a current auction on eBay that has an "adjustable" stock that looks like it would work for you.
