I am seriously contemplating registering my S&W 15-22 as an SBR. I have forms in for my .22 can, and I love my 15-22. I also have a 15-22p, which would make the initial build extremely easy. My biggest question is about engraving. I notice the serial# on my receiver is on a small metal plate, but the rest of the receiver is polymer. Is it ok just to engrave the Trust into the polymer?

I don't see why it would be a problem engraving on the poly lower.

My thought is not to SBR a 15-22 though. If you grab a standard lower instead you wont be stuck with just .22 lr.

I would agree with that. Doing a Form 1 is a lot of trouble, so you might as well Form 1 a standard lower, giving you a lot more options in caliber.

You raise a very good point, hadn't thought of it from that perspective. That is likely what I'll do.
