Was in Greenwood again tonight and found Elmore's. Walked out with a holster, but reeaaally wanted to walk out with the Kimber Super Carry I fondled.

i shoot an M&P in local uspsa stuff, but when i carry its a full size 1911. I have been drawn to the platform ever since i handled my first one at a gun show.. Plastic guns shoot great Glocks, M&Ps', but there is nothing like holding a metal frame 1911 in your hand..

    1911 fever

I have it too! I have had the XD series also and to me they feel close to the grip angle just thicker. I can also say nuttin cures the 1911 fever but to buy, shoot and carry the 1911! J M Browning knew what he was doing when he designed this pistol!

I must say I got into guns and bought thirty hand guns in about three months and I've sold all of them but my 1911s all the others where nice guns but nothing feels or shoots like my kimbers in my eyes.

I'm bit. I carry something else but man I can hit so much better with the 1911. I *can* carry it but 3lbs on my hip gets old after a while.

That's why I carry a CCO size 1911. It's a commander size slide on an officer frame and the frame is aluminum. Very similar in size and weight to a G19. Carries very well and shoots even better.

Do you realize is has been 5 years since the last post in this thread?

Yeah, this is the second necropost he's made about 1911's... :dunno:

    Frankenstein never scared me.

    Marsupials do...

It is my considered opinion that one cannot "cure" this affliction, but it can be managed.
My hypothesis is that the feelings MAY abate, somewhat, when you reach a saturation point.
I have come to the realization that the saturation point is analogous with the guns nomenclature.
I believe, if you reach a collection matching that number (1,911), your anxiety may be lessened.
