The picture of the pistol you posted does not have novak style sights it has GI type sights. If you want the novak style you can ship your slide to novak and they can install genuine novaks on them for a pretty fair price.

I had the same question about a 1911 GI model I had. Wanted to do some upgrades and have some new sights installed but realized for what I would spend on all the mods, I could buy a new (and probably better) gun for the same or just a little more money.
I was wondering the same thing, your probably right.
If I cant find a stake on sight for the front or feel like taking on the job myself I may get some of that "Bright Sight" Bright Sights High Visibility Gun Sight Paint stuff and just use that. That would make a little bit of an improvement over the factory ones.
Those are definitely dinky GI sights. If you are looking to keep costs down, then there are a number of aftermarket stake-on sights you can use as well as aftermarket hi-viz rear sights that don't require machining. Go to Brownells website and look around for something you like.
