I carried a Colt Combat Commander for 6 years prior to switching to carrying a slightly smaller & slightly lighter Colt Officers ACP for another 6 years, so I guess you could say that I also like 1911's or at least used too anyway.

Oh don't get me wrong I still enjoy shooting 1911's but for the last year or so my EDC has been a Sig P226R DAK which IMHO is just a phenomenal sidearm, I rarely if ever carry a 1911 anymore.

This is the one that started it all. It is now back to box stock config with the short trigger and standard grips.

    Sadly...

Springfield sent me an email last night and said they are going to soon be canceling my order for the Champion "due to the amount of backorders and we are no longer accepting orders at this time for the GI pistol line."... but that I can switch to a Mil-Spec instead. So I did.
Upgraded by a couple hundred bucks, but as far as I can see there are "zero" available of those, as well.
    I guess we'll see....

1911's are the "addictive narcotic" of the gun world. Several years ago, I bought "just one" to see what all the fuss was about. Took it out, shot it, and then "just bought another one" to see what some of the differences might be. Now, years later and after many episodes of getting "just one more", I have "bottomed out" and acknowledge that I have an addiction.
    They simply rock! :patriot:

Such a crummy camera, but you could say I have an addiction as well.

Still a couple blank spots to fill
