As the post says I am picking up a Karabiner 98k in prestine condition. It comes with a bayonet, but it goes to the Turkish Mauser which has a different lug on it. ... my question is where can I find a correct bayonet and sling for it?

    thank you

The last time I went to the 1500 show, there was a guy there that had a pile of different ones pretty reasonable. I picked up one for my Swedish 96 for $45.

I don't want this to sound presumptuous or insulting, but how well do you know 98k's? The reason I ask is that actual pristine 98k's are pretty darn hard to find, particularly with a pre-war date, where as refinished rifles are fairly common. If you are actually getting a truly pristine 1938 98k then it would be worth shelling out the money for an appropriate bayonet and sling for the rifle. If it is a refinished rifle then a reproduction sling is acceptable in my eyes and it would be much easier to find.
