We'll have to see how this plays out, but according to the article, Pakistan made an agreement with the Bush administration to allow U.S. to come and get Osama bin Laden, with the stipulation Pakistan would then complain to save face.

As long as he was alive they were pretty much guaranteed 2 billion a year in aid to help us in the "War on Terror". I can see why they would want to protect an asset like that. Oh, and the fact that most of them agreed with him in their hatred of us.
