Our annual new member application/admission process for 2015 will be as follows:

    1) 8 AM New Year's Day, our gates will open for the first 12 applicants only. We had unprecedented existing member renewal as 488 folks renewed out of 500 paid family memberships...almost 98%. Barricades at the stop sign for our access road will be removed at 6 pm New Year's eve (12/31) and You CAN park to either side of the access road off Burton Lane, just don't block the road or the gate. With just 12 spots open, the line will likely remain short. New member fee = $150. If these new members renew for 2016, gate card remains activated and existing member fee (currently $100) will be charged.

    2) 10 AM New Year's Day, we will hold an auction at the Morgan County Fairgrounds (Main bldg opposite Armory) for an additional 10 memberships to the highest bidders. This will increase our total membership by 10 families for 2015, it is not cannibalizing the normal 8 AM gate process noted above. Proceeds above and beyond our normal $150 new member fees and any incidental auction fees, will be donated to the Morgan County 4H Shooting Sports. Winners who renew for 2016 will pay existing member renewal fee which is currently $100 (gate card gets re-used)

Personal checks or cash will be accepted and receipts issued for all new members. Electronic gate cards will be sent to new members by end Jan 2015 and will be activated for a full 12 months of access til end Jan 2016...or indefinitely so long as you renew membership.

Slight modification to our plans to barricade our club's access road on Dec. 31.

Short entry road to the club off Burton Lane will be barricaded the afternoon of Wed. Dec. 31, then barricades will be removed at 6 PM that evening allowing vehicles to park to either side of the access road leading to our gate....just don't block access on our road and through our gate. NO overnights allowed by members inside club grounds...facility must be vacated by 6 pm 12/31.

With the access road being blocked in the afternoon, will members be able to get on the property to shoot during the day if the weather is permitting?

Before barricades are placed, we'll clear the club so no one is stuck inside...you should probably anticipate being out of the facility by 3 pm latest. Sorry for the confusion.

I wanted to go pop off a few rounds while the sun was out and went to the club. The road was already blocked off an hour before they said it would be.

On a side note, there are several cars lined up in the parking area across the street.

...and to the asshat that showed up at 5:55, swapped spots with a kid, and got in... (After #13 had been waiting for 4+ hrs...)

    hope your ass freezes tonight.

What number were you? That should be reported and denied a membership
I was 14; I didn't overly care if I didn't get in, but I just thought that was a pretty dick move. 13 should have got in.

I consulted with the board pres, as he was telling #13 to drive away. Basically somebody games the system every year and they do their best to make it better the next year. Good guy, but put in a tough spot when there's so much demand.
