It was pre cooked bacon and sausage so it's more forgiving in the cooler but brown and serves cooked in bacon grease taste so much better. Then cinnamon rolls in a skillet that's been lightly greased with bacon grease over the fire are also super good. View attachment 350937 View attachment 350938
I love cooking over an open fire, and when doing that cast iron cant be beat! That pan looks nice and loved.

Turned out great but definitely different than low n slow. Probably do the the vortex ribs more often then do 321 ribs every now and then. They took 50 minutes, 15-15-15-5.

Spend all day Saturday helping at a local fundraiser grilling 3000lbs of pork chops. Sunday power washed the deck/porch, hauled up all the outdoor furniture from the barn and washed it.

At dinner time this was all the effort I could muster...

Instructions I found online were 15 minutes of cooking then rotate the lid 90° then in 15 minutes flip them and rotate again then 2 more rotations at 15 minute intervals. Then sauce and let it tack up for 5 or 10minutes. Mine only needed 45 minutes with three lid rotations and 5 minutes to tack up the sauce.
